DDAR
Essaouira, Morocco
On an exceptional site near Ain Ladjar, the house accommodates 300 m² of living space.
It consists of several lounges, a bar, bedrooms, antechambers dedicated to art, a kitchen and a dining room. Outside, a rooftop, a lounge and a large terrace invite us to connect and relax in the shade of the tall date palms.
Here, the landscape has dictated the architecture, the cycle of the sun and moon, and the openings. The house unfolds like an observatory open to time and the events of nature, welcoming and magnifying the energies of each person. The interior is reassuringly monumental, and houses a wonderful collection highlighting art and design from North Africa from the 1960s to the present day.
