This installation consists of 6,000 bricks made from modern materials and basic units that can be used to construct a city. It is a collaborative work involving migrants from the Sahel region, who often walk for years in hopes of crossing the Strait of Gibraltar. Upon reaching their destination, however, many are forced to remain in Morocco, becoming part of the local population. Everyone is faced with building a roof over their head, each individual produces architecture as a primitive mechanism. Today cities are piles of souls. This project is about that. Each individual faces the challenge of building a roof over their head, making architecture a primitive mechanism. Today, cities are essentially collections of souls, and this what I tried to convey.
